Mitsubishi is replacing the petrol and plug-in hybrid Eclipse Cross with a new all-electric small SUV, developed for Europe and built by Renault.
The new Eclipse Cross is expected to be a restyled Scenic E-Tech by Renault and produced in France for the European market.
Mitsubishi Australia has stated that the new Eclipse Cross is currently only intended for the European market.
The Eclipse Cross will feature advanced ADAS technology, have Google built-in connectivity, and offer both long-range and mid-range variants.
The upcoming Grandis model will be combustion and hybrid-powered, unlike the electric-only Eclipse Cross, and set for a July reveal.
