Expand North Star, the world’s largest start-up event, is set to gather over 2,000 start-ups in Dubai Harbour, with 400 European and UK start-ups joining the exhibition from 13-16 Oct, 2024, for its 9th edition.
Expand North Star is part of GITEX GLOBAL, and exhibiting start-ups will showcase their solutions and real applications, including Agritech, Artificial Intelligence, Climate Tech, Fintech, Health Tech, etc.
40 German start-ups will be debuting this year at the show, followed by Ireland, Poland, Latvia, Austria, and Portugal, and UK is leading with 50 start-ups on their flagship stand.
The UK is home to over 150 unicorns and 25,000 funded start-ups, many of which are poised to scale up, making it the third most valuable start-up ecosystem globally.
European start-ups experienced 31% growth in funding in Q2, 2024, reaching almost $16 billion.
50 of the UK's fastest-growing technology companies are expected to participate in the delegation. There is much interest in exploring expansion into the UAE
More than 1,200 global investors and venture capitalists are expected to attend the event.
The Supernova Challenge, the world’s largest pitch competition with a $200,000 cash prize is expected to be part of the event.
Expand North Star will also connect the audience with over 65 global unicorns, including BitPanda from Austria and Climeworks in Switzerland, which are amongst some of the influential companies participating in the event.
