Mercedes-Benz Australia is recalling 37 vehicles across six model lines, including five Mercedes-AMG variants, due to a manufacturing defect that could lead to a vehicle fire.
The issue involves the vehicle management systems connected to the fuse box failing, potentially resulting in a sudden loss of motive power and/or a vehicle fire.
A previous recall to address this issue was not resolved correctly, leading to the incorrect replacement part being fitted in some vehicles.
Affected models include Mercedes-AMG C43, C63 S E Performance, EQE53, EQS53, SL63, and Mercedes-Benz GLC300 produced in 2023. Owners can contact authorised dealerships for free rectification.
