Munich-based Filics secures  €13.5M to bring space-saving robotics to more warehouses across Europe

  • Munich-based Filics has secured €13.5M in funding from a group of international investors and strategic backers, including Amazon Industrial Innovation Fund, for its space-saving robotics technology.
  • The investment will be used to expand Filics Unit, a double-runner system for automated pallet transport, and prepare for market entry into other European countries by 2026.
  • The Filics Unit, which can achieve up to 66% space savings, is designed for autonomous pallet transportation in warehouses and aims to enable fully autonomous truck loading in under five minutes.
  • Founded by engineers from the Technical University of Munich, Filics has developed innovative robotic solutions for intralogistics, addressing challenges in space constraints and skilled labor shortages in the logistics sector.
