Munich-based Filics has secured €13.5M in funding from a group of international investors and strategic backers, including Amazon Industrial Innovation Fund, for its space-saving robotics technology.
The investment will be used to expand Filics Unit, a double-runner system for automated pallet transport, and prepare for market entry into other European countries by 2026.
The Filics Unit, which can achieve up to 66% space savings, is designed for autonomous pallet transportation in warehouses and aims to enable fully autonomous truck loading in under five minutes.
Founded by engineers from the Technical University of Munich, Filics has developed innovative robotic solutions for intralogistics, addressing challenges in space constraints and skilled labor shortages in the logistics sector.
