NATO is deploying drones to protect the Baltic Sea amidst increasing maritime sabotage.
The Baltic Sentry program is a response to the severing of undersea data cables in the region, suspected to be acts of sabotage by Russia and China.
Task Force X, managed by NATO, will use drone technology to monitor the Baltic Sea continuously, day and night.
The drone fleet will consist of unmanned surface and submersible vehicles equipped with high-quality sensors to counter threats and protect critical infrastructure.
