Nearly half of MSMEs prefer UPI for business transactions, followed by Aadhaar-enabled banking, according to a report by PayNearby.
Among women entrepreneurs, Aadhaar banking had even higher preference at 42%, showcasing trust in secure, tech-enabled services like fingerprint and face authentication.
The report, based on a survey of 10,000 individuals and MSMEs, highlighted the significant adoption of digital payments among MSMEs, with UPI being the most favored mode at 48%.
The survey also revealed that smartphones are the primary business device for 71% of respondents, with a majority experiencing increased income or operational efficiency due to digital tools.
