Netflix announces the cancellation of two new series, The Residence and Pulse, after only one season each.
The Residence, a murder-mystery-rom-com created by Paul William Davies and part of Shonda Rhimes' 'Shondaland,' featured a stellar ensemble cast and received positive reviews.
Pulse, a medical drama set in a Miami hospital, was Netflix's first attempt at the genre, but may have suffered due to poor timing in comparison to other successful shows.
Additionally, another Netflix series, No Good Deed, starring Denis Leary, Ray Romano, and Lisa Kudrow, is on an 'indefinite hiatus,' according to The Hollywood Reporter.
