A new Apple-backed AI model trained on Apple Watch behavioral data can predict health conditions more accurately than traditional sensor-based methods.
The model, called the Wearable Behavior Model (WBM), analyzes user behavior metrics like step count and sleep duration from the Apple Watch.
It performs well in identifying static health states and transient conditions, achieving up to 92% accuracy for pregnancy detection when combined with biometric data.
The model was trained on data from over 160,000 participants in the Heart and Movement Study, showcasing potential for advanced health analysis using wearable devices.
