Background check company, Checkr, is launching an apprenticeship program called Catalyst to support hiring and training for workers with a criminal record.
Employers can participate in a 2025 cohort, offering on-the-job training and mentorship for 12 months.
Checkr will partner with organizations that provide career pathing and skills-based training for workers, as well as education and training for incarcerated individuals.
Inclusive HR practices, recognizing biases, and offering incentives such as tax credits and insurance against losses can help employers consider workers with criminal records.
