Tata Motors plans to launch 30 new products by 2030, including 7 all-new nameplates like the next-gen Sierra SUV and a new sub-4 metre SUV.
The mini Tata Sierra-inspired compact SUV (Tata Scarlet) is expected to share design elements with the midsize SUV, featuring an upright and boxy stance on a monocoque chassis.
The Tata Scarlet might offer petrol engines like the 1.2L turbo from Nexon, Curvv's 1.2L direct injection turbo engine, and Tata's new 1.5L direct-injection turbo engine. Diesel and electric powertrains could be options.
Pricing for the Tata Scarlet is anticipated to overlap with the Punch and Nexon, with expected pricing similar to the Punch's Rs 6.20 lakh – Rs 10.32 lakh and the Nexon's Rs 8 lakh – Rs 15.60 lakh range.
