Nike will start selling products directly on Amazon after a six-year absence, with plans to increase prices across most of its sneakers and apparel in response to recent US tariffs.
The company had previously stopped selling on Amazon in 2019 to focus on building its own direct-to-consumer sales platforms like the Nike app and website.
Nike's goods continued to be sold on Amazon by third-party sellers, but those sellers have been informed to stop selling certain Nike products by July 19th.
New CEO Elliott Hill aims to restore Nike's wholesale business and has already started mending relationships with retailers like Foot Locker and Macy’s. Nike is also planning price increases on most products from June 1st, but will exempt cheaper items and children’s products.
