Nintendo is updating a handful of Switch games to run better on the Switch 2 with improvements like optimizing visuals for the larger screen, better framerates, HDR support, and GameShare support.
The updates for games like ARMS, Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda, and others will be available on June 5th, the launch day of the Switch 2.
The updates will be free and aim to enhance the gaming experience on the new console, although they are not as substantial as the paid Nintendo Switch 2 Edition upgrades for certain games.
Players interested in playing older Switch games on the Switch 2 may find even the smaller improvements beneficial, particularly for titles like Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and the Link’s Awakening remake.
