Nissan is planning a comeback in the electric vehicle (EV) space with a scalable EV platform, targeting the compact and adjacent segments.
The platform will underpin up to five electric models, including both Nissan and Infiniti vehicles, and potentially a lifestyle-focused electric pickup.
Nissan's new EV platform will feature more efficient electric motors and lower-cost lithium-ion batteries, with production beginning in 2028.
Instead of launching electric sedans, Nissan will prioritize electric crossovers, with the upcoming models offering interior space comparable to the larger Pathfinder.
