Puspakom CEO clarifies that there is no 'Puspakom-compliant' window tint, as the company follows JPJ regulations for vehicle inspections.
He warned against misleading claims by tint film companies regarding compliance, as recent warranty cards suggested 'JPJ-compliant' but 'not Puspakom-compliant' products.
Failed inspections are often due to combined VLT levels of glass and tint film not meeting JPJ requirements, with factory-fitted tinted glass affecting VLT levels prior to additional film application.
Current JPJ regulations allow VLT levels up to 70% for front windscreen, 50% for front side windows, and have no restrictions for rear windows or rear windscreen.
