Now open – AWS Asia Pacific (Taipei) Region
- AWS Asia Pacific (Taipei) Region is now generally available with three Availability Zones and Region code ap-east-2, bringing AWS closer to customers in Taiwan.
- This is the first infrastructure Region in Taipei and the fifteen in Asia Pacific, expanding the AWS global footprint to 117 Availability Zones across 37 Regions worldwide.

- SAP, a strategic partner of AWS, sees the new data centers in Taiwan as beneficial for enterprises, providing lower service latency and enhanced operational flexibility.
- The AWS Asia Pacific (Taipei) Region supports sustainable innovation in Taiwan, with companies like Ace Energy and Taiwan Power Company using AWS to enhance operational efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
- Since 2014, AWS has been investing in cloud education and skills development programs in Taiwan to help train individuals in cloud skills, contributing to the country's digital future.
