The American Nurses Association has launched the Nurses Action Society, a new initiative aimed at empowering its members to engage with federal officials and advance public policy priorities in the nursing profession.
The initiative, called NAS Ambassadors, invites participants to participate in lobbying activities with members of the U.S. Congress.
NAS fills the gap between grassroots advocacy and direct advocacy from professional lobbyists, encouraging stronger advocacy participation among practicing nurses.
The initiative aims to leverage existing relationships and engage nursing professionals who have demonstrated engagement with legislators.
