Nvidia is launching a new, more affordable AI chipset for the Chinese market under its Blackwell architecture in response to US export restrictions.
Expected to be priced between $6,500 and $8,000, these chips will cost half the price of the previously restricted H20 model.
The new chips will be based on Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D and use conventional GDDR7 memory to comply with export controls and reduce costs.
Nvidia's market share in China has fallen from 95% to 50%, prompting the company to develop these AI chipsets to compete with the likes of Huawei's Ascend 910B chip.
