Nvidia has confirmed a manufacturing issue impacting a small percentage of RTX 5090, RTX 5090D, and RTX 5070 Ti graphics chips.
The affected GPUs have one fewer ROP than specified, resulting in an average graphical performance impact of 4%.
Nvidia assures that there is no impact on AI and Compute workloads and affected consumers can contact the board manufacturer for a replacement.
The manufacturing issue has been identified and corrected, adding to the list of troubles faced by Nvidia, including launch driver issues and melting power connectors.
