Nvidia has admitted that some of its RTX 5080 GPUs are faulty and slower in games due to a problem with the number of render outputs (ROPs).
The issue, which causes a 4% drop in gaming performance, was first reported on Reddit on February 23.
This revelation adds to the criticism surrounding the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5000 launch, which has already faced problems such as melting power cables and low stock levels.
While the RTX 5080 is generally a good performer for its price range, it's important for consumers to check if their specific GPU is affected by the issue.
