Nvidia has introduced the budget-friendly GeForce RTX 5050 priced at $249 and scheduled for release in July.
The RTX 5050 is part of the RTX 50-series and offers next-gen performance for gamers and creators on a budget.
Built on Nvidia’s Blackwell architecture, the RTX 5050 features 2560 CUDA cores and advanced Tensor and RT cores for DLSS4 support and reduced latency.
It has a base clock speed of 2.31GHz, 8GB GDDR6 memory, and performs 60% better than the RTX 3050 in rasterization tasks.
Connectivity options include 3x DisplayPort 2.1b, 1x HDMI 2.1b, 9th-gen NVENC encoder, and 6th-gen NVDEC decoder.
The RTX 5050 requires 130W power, offers multi-monitor support, and is produced by various manufacturers including ASUS, MSI, and ZOTAC.
There won't be a Founders Edition for the RTX 5050, but it will be widely available from multiple third-party manufacturers.
A mobile version of the RTX 5050 is also available in laptops starting at $999, providing high-performance GPU capability on the go.
The RTX 5050 is positioned as a strong contender in the mid-range GPU market for consumers seeking a balance between price and performance.
