Nvidia has surpassed Microsoft to become the world's most valuable publicly traded company with a market valuation of $3.45 trillion.
The chipmaker's stock surged 24% in the past month, leading to a $1 trillion increase in market capitalization over the past two months.
Nvidia's rise is attributed to its GPU-based AI accelerators that are widely used in AI infrastructure by companies like Microsoft, Meta, Google, and Amazon.
Despite the significant increase in value, Nvidia is trading at about 29 times its projected earnings for the next year, below its 10-year average of 34 times.
