A wildfire in Grand Canyon National Park caused a chlorine gas leak due to damage to a water treatment facility, posing a hazardous situation.
The Dragon Bravo Fire has burned over 5,000 acres and destroyed numerous structures on the north side of the Grand Canyon since July 4.
The National Park Service evacuated firefighters and hikers in response to the toxic gas leak, with parts of the canyon closed for safety assessment.
The chlorine gas threat is confined to the canyon vicinity, with nearby communities warned of potential odors; Arizona Governor calls for investigation.
