Cyan Worlds, the developer of games Myst and Riven, is laying off 12 staff members, roughly half of its team.
The decision is due to the industry conditions and the month-to-month realities of game development in 2025.
The gaming industry has experienced layoffs, with an estimated 33,000 job losses so far, leading to the formation of the United Videogame Workers Union.
Cyan Worlds hopes to continue despite the layoffs, as it has previously experienced tough times and remains transparent with its team.
