Twitter CEO Elon Musk announced that only tweets from verified accounts will show up on the platform's curated timeline starting April 15, restricting it to mostly paying users.
The change aims to address advanced AI bot swarms that have taken over the platform, according to Musk, who also said voting in Twitter polls will require verification going forward.
Twitter will allow verified bot accounts that follow its terms of service and do not impersonate humans, but it's unclear if tweets from these accounts will appear on the For You page.
