Baltimore's first Black- and women-owned bodega, Chopped Broadway Bodega & Deli, is now open, offering classic New York takeout bites.
Co-owned by Ernestine Chambers and Naté Gordon, the deli celebrated its opening on May 2 and aims to blend a NYC-bred menu with the culture of Baltimore's Fells Point neighborhood.
Chopped Broadway focuses on fresh foods, employs 98% locally, and aims to increase economic empowerment in the diverse neighborhood.
The bodega offers a variety of heavily portioned sandwiches, including vegan and gluten-free options, with a focus on providing affordable and healthy choices to customers.
