Oura Ring is introducing algorithm improvements to deliver more accurate movement tracking, including a new step-counting algorithm called Real Steps.
The updates also include improvements in active calorie burn estimates based on movements' intensity during exercise and tracking late-night activities such as dancing at the club until early morning.
All-day activity tracking is expanded to include nighttime activities between 12AM and 4AM, and users can add or edit activities from the past seven days in the Oura app, affecting Readiness and Activity Scores.
New fitness metrics, such as running splits, and heart rate data integration with third-party health and fitness apps, are being added, along with new partner integrations for tailored training and recovery recommendations.
