- Entrepreneur Jim Kaveney founded Alkemy Partners, a life sciences learning and performance company, during the Great Recession in 2012. - Kaveney's business partner decided to walk away after nine months of forming an LLC. At the same time, Kaveney had to refine the company's mission and vision after the departure of his partner.
