Paytm has incorporated a subsidiary in Singapore to expand its merchant payments and financial services in the Southeast Asian nation.
The subsidiary, Paytm Singapore Pte. Ltd, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Paytm Cloud Technologies Limited, with an approved outlay of SGD 2,50,000 for acquisition.
Paytm had previously announced plans to set up subsidiaries in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore as part of its international expansion strategy.
The company has been focusing on core digital payments business, launching new offerings, and planning overseas expansions to boost revenues and profitability.
