Penang CM defended the RM3.31 million purchase of 15 Toyota Camry cars for the state government's use.The purchase was aimed at reducing maintenance costs, as older vehicles with high mileage can pose safety risks and be more expensive to maintain. The state government has been replacing official vehicles every six years since 2013 to control maintenance expenses.Despite the rising maintenance costs of the outgoing Camry fleet, the older vehicles are still in use and kept in a pool for officer's needs.
