Perodua’s first EV rendered based on final prototype

  • The first EV by Perodua has been rendered by Theophilus Chin based on the final prototype showcased at Malaysia Autoshow 2025.
  • The EV, named Aspirations, is a crossover with sleek design features resembling the Toyota C-HR.
  • The exterior of the EV prototype includes hidden door handles, full-width LED bars, and 18-inch wheels.
  • The EV is expected to be larger than the Myvi and will compete in the sub-RM100k bracket in Malaysia.
  • The interior showcases modern features like a digital instrument panel, rotary gear selector, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
  • The EV will feature a lithium iron phosphate battery with a target range of 400-410 km and a 0-100 km/h time of 6-7 seconds.
  • Perodua introduces a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) scheme to address battery health and replacement cost concerns.
  • To address resale value concerns, Perodua offers the option to purchase the car with the battery outright or opt for battery leasing.
  • Pre-production of the EV will start in September, with the launch expected before the end of the year.
  • Perodua aims to protect resale values by implementing a 'guaranteed future value' scheme for the EV.
