Phlux Technology has introduced an evaluation board for its Aura series of Noiseless InGaAs® APDs designed for ultra-sensitive IR detection, offering up to 12 times greater sensitivity than traditional devices.
The 70 mm x 60 mm evaluation board integrates a MAX40661 transimpedance amplifier to simplify performance evaluation of Aura APDs, facilitating assessments of key parameters like dark current, responsivity, NEP, IRN, and dynamic metrics.
The board features protected DC-coupled input, AC-coupled output, operates on a single +3.3V DC power supply, and supports different package types for APDs, enabling benchmarking with third-party solutions.
Phlux also offers a custom ultra-low-noise preamplifier circuit for high-bandwidth applications, achieving NEP of less than 30 fW/√Hz, ideal for defense-grade systems. The Aura APDs utilize proprietary technology for enhanced sensitivity and performance.
