Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is inviting applications for the CEO role as the tenure of current CEO Amir Hayat comes to an end.
PIA is looking for someone between the ages of 45 and 57 with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the aviation business or 20 years of experience managing large organizations.
Punjab government has reversed its earlier interest in acquiring PIA, while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur is still considering bidding for the national carrier.
Gandapur stated that KP is prepared to offer more than the current Rs. 10 billion for PIA ownership, as the province's revenue has increased by 44%.
