Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has urged the World Trade Organisation (WTO) members to clearly define the moratorium on imposing customs duties on e-commerce trade.
India has emphasized the need to discuss the scope of the duty moratorium as it has revenue implications.
Goyal stated that the e-commerce moratorium should be well-defined, specifying what it will cover and not cover.
He also called for reform within the WTO, including fixing a benchmark for defining developing countries.
