Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a city gas distribution project valued at Rs 1,010 crore in West Bengal's Alipurduar district.
The project aims to provide piped natural gas to over 2.5 lakh households, commercial, and industrial users in Alipurduar and Cooch Behar districts.
Around 19 compressed natural gas stations will be established as part of the initiative, promoting reliable and eco-friendly fuel supply while creating job opportunities.
PM Modi emphasized the significance of Bengal's development in India's journey towards becoming a developed nation and underscored the project's role in delivering welfare schemes to citizens.
