Mihailo Bjelic, co-founder of Polygon, has stepped down from the blockchain project, resigning from the Polygon Foundation board and Polygon Labs.
Bjelic expressed his decision to resign after significant thought and reflection, stating his continued support for the industry while stepping back from day-to-day involvement.
He is the third co-founder to leave Polygon, following Jayanti Kanani and Anurag Arjun. While their reasons for departure are known, Bjelic's reason remains unclear.
Bjelic played a crucial role in Polygon's growth, co-founding the Ethereum Layer 2 in 2017, known for faster transactions, lower fees, and improved scalability, with recent collaborations and achievements marking Polygon's progress.
