<ul><li>U.S. President Donald Trump threatens to impose additional 50% tariffs on China effective April 9th, if China does not withdraw its 34% increase above their already long term trading abuses by April 8th, 2025.</li><li>China issued retaliatory tariffs of 34% on the United States, on top of their existing tariffs, non-monetary tariffs, illegal subsidization, and currency manipulation.</li><li>All talks with China concerning their requested meetings will be terminated, and negotiations with other countries will begin.</li><li>The United States intends to protect its economy and maintain the position as the world's number one economy with this tariff strategy.</li></ul>
