Pro-XRP lawyer John Deaton files a federal securities fraud class action against William Sarris, the co-founder and CEO of Linqto Inc.
The lawsuit was filed in New York on behalf of retail investors who purchased pre-IPO shares of Ripple and other companies through the Linqto platform.
The class action alleges that Sarris orchestrated a scheme involving undisclosed markups on pre-IPO share prices and violated U.S. laws in selling stock via special purpose vehicles.
Linqto recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in Texas, with Deaton's complaint aiming to prevent Sarris from hiding under bankruptcy protection and ensure full compensation for investors.
