Pro-XRP lawyer John Deaton has filed a class action lawsuit against Linqto founder William Sarris, accusing him of selling unlicensed shares of a private company fraudulently.
Linqto is alleged to have charged investors 60% above the actual price and misused legal exemptions to avoid transparency, violating SEC and FINRA regulations.
Deaton filed the lawsuit on behalf of thousands of affected retail investors seeking maximum fund recovery and preventing reduced monetary settlements.
Linqto's bankruptcy attorney mentioned plans to raise funds for creditor repayment through the bankruptcy process and negotiation of a payout plan with regulators.
