The Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd (PTCL) is hosting a groundbreaking ceremony to commemorate the landfall of the Africa-1 submarine cable in Karachi.
The Africa-1 submarine cable will connect multiple countries across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, improving internet speeds and connectivity for Pakistan.
The project is on track to achieve its Ready for Service (RFS) status in Q1 2026, with completion expected by then.
The investment in the Africa-1 submarine cable project is expected to contribute to PTCL's revenue growth upon its completion.
