Python Engineering at Microsoft: Python in Visual Studio Code ��� April 2025 Release
- Python, Pylance, and Jupyter extensions for Visual Studio Code have been released in April 2025.
- Enhancements include improved Python development using Copilot and Notebooks, support for editable installs, a faster and more reliable diagnostic experience, and the ability to pass custom Node.js arguments to Pylance.
- Copilot now supports editing and creating Jupyter notebooks, while Pylance supports import paths for packages installed in editable mode.
- The release also includes faster diagnostics and the option to customize Node.js arguments.
