<ul data-eligibleForWebStory="false"><li>R Doraiswamy has taken charge as the CEO and MD of LIC with an appointment duration of three years or until he turns 62 on August 28, 2028, as per a government notification.</li><li>Before this role, he served as the Managing Director of the Corporation and has educational qualifications including a Mathematics degree and memberships in insurance and actuarial institutes.</li><li>After his appointment, Sat Pal Bhanoo, the previous Managing Director of LIC, has relinquished financial and administrative powers related to the CEO & MD role.</li><li>The change in leadership was made effective from July 14, 2025, as announced by LIC through an exchange filing.</li></ul>
