Ram has reportedly pushed back the releases of its electrified pickup trucks, the Ramcharger extended-range EV to 2026 and the electric Ram REV to 2027.
The automaker cited the need to extend the quality validation period for the trucks as the reason for the delay.
Ram acknowledged challenges with customer demand for electric vehicles and is reassessing its product strategy in North America.
The delays from Ram may put them years behind competitors like Rivian, Ford, General Motors, and Tesla who have been selling electric trucks for a while now.
