Amazon is retooling its flagship voice assistant, Alexa, with agentic capabilities and browser-use tasks.
The new version, called Alexa+, combines AI agents, computer use capabilities, and knowledge from the larger Amazon ecosystem to be a more capable and smarter home voice assistant.
Alexa+ runs on Amazon's Nova models and models from Anthropic, and it remains model agnostic to find the best one for accomplishing tasks.
By blending AI agents, computer use capabilities, and model mixing, Amazon aims to make Alexa+ a more effective voice assistant.
