The merger of media assets of Reliance Industries and Disney India is expected to be completed by the end of the third quarter of FY25.
Reliance Industries and Disney India have obtained the necessary approvals for the merger of their media assets, which was sanctioned by the NCLT and made effective on October 3.
The merger will create India's largest media empire worth over INR 70,000 Cr, encompassing TV channels and streaming platforms JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar.
Nita Ambani, chairperson of Reliance Foundation, will lead the joint venture, while Uday Shankar will serve as vice-chairperson.
