Apple is partnering with Synchron to allow users to control iPhones and other devices using brain signals.Synchron's implantable brain-computer interface (BCI) device, the Stentrode, enables users with motor impairments to interact with Apple devices. The Stentrode is implanted through the jugular vein and has 16 electrodes that detect neural signals from the brain's motor cortex.Apple plans to integrate support for BCIs into its accessibility framework and establish an industry standard for brain-computer interfaces.
