Microsoft has been focusing on designing and selling new Surface hardware since the departure of team leader Panos Panay, including updated versions of Surface Pro tablets and Surface Laptops.
The more unique and unconventional products in the Surface lineup, such as the Surface Studio all-in-one desktop and the Surface Laptop Studio 2, have been neglected.
Microsoft has recently discontinued the Surface Laptop Studio 2 and plans to officially announce its end-of-life status in June. The company will provide support for the Laptop Studio until at least October 2029.
The Surface Laptop Studio 2 will be phased out as current retail stock is sold, marking a shift in Microsoft's focus away from certain experimental products.
