Black Leaders Detroit has launched a new initiative, the 2025 Ride for Equity, which aims to raise funds for African American entrepreneurs and business owners.
The 1,600-mile bike trek from Tulsa to NYC will support equitable funding practices for Black businesses and raise awareness about the challenges they face.
The event includes stops in cities with roots in Black business, hosting community discussions to support Black business owners along the way.
All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting Black-owned businesses, with Black Leaders Detroit having distributed nearly $5 million in grants and loans to over 600 Black businesses and organizations since its founding in 2019.
