Ride-hailing service failed to hire, accommodate hearing-impaired driver candidates, EEOC claims

  • Alto allegedly refused to hire the candidates despite the availability of technological accommodations and their previous experience as drivers for other ride-hailing companies.
  • The company also allegedly denied accommodations such as American Sign Language interpreters.
  • The alleged conduct violated the Americans with Disabilities Act.
