African cross-border payments firm Chipper Cash has partnered with Ripple Labs to enable fast and cost-effective transactions across Africa.
With five million customers across nine African nations, Chipper Cash will utilize Ripple's Payments solution based on the XRP Ledger blockchain and XRP to facilitate faster and more efficient cross-border transactions.
This partnership strengthens Ripple's presence in Africa, following its collaboration with Onafriq for digital asset-enabled cross-border payments and the acquisition of Uganda's Pharma Ville.
Ripple recently settled its lawsuit with the U.S. SEC, paying $50 million of the total $125 million penalty, eliminating legal uncertainties surrounding XRP.
