Speculations about the US SEC dropping the Ripple lawsuit following a closed-door meeting on July 10 have not materialized.
Former SEC lawyer Marc Fagel indicated that the Commission did not discuss the Ripple lawsuit during the meeting, focusing instead on other matters like institution and settlement of actions.
The SEC has yet to decide on dropping the appeal in the Ripple lawsuit, with the process expected to take a few weeks or more once approved.
If both parties agree to dismiss their respective appeals, it could bring an end to the years-long legal battle in the Ripple lawsuit.
